Set in beautiful rural farmland in Shropshire, Ellerdine Lakes Trout Fishery is a Trout Masters Water, and an ideal location for anglers who want a little peace and quiet, with plenty of good fishing. With four spring-fed lakes, regular stocking and a tackle shop on-site, Ellerdine Lakes offers a great day out.

We have four well-established spring-fed lakes here at the Ellerdine Lakes Trout Fishery: Cranymoor, Lakemoor, Meadow and Marsh. Each lake has its own individual character, but all are well stocked with Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Blue Trout, providing an excellent day of fishing. Average size - 3lbs.

The lakes which have been designed for ease of casting usually have clear water which makes them an ideal stalking water. At Ellerdine Lakes we believe that everyone should enjoy a good day's fishing, and so we have provided disabled access to each of our lakes. Areas in close proximity around much of the lakes have been cleared of obstacles enabling wheelchair access as close as possible to the waterside. We also provide a disabled toilet in our on-site facilities.

From the M54 take the A442 north for Whitchurch. Approximately six miles from Wellington, take the first left turn after Hatton Court Nursing Home. Follow the road for one mile. Take the 3rd turning on the left. Ellerdine Lakes will be signposted on this road.

20 Acre fishery situated in the heart of Shropshire near Telford. The complex is broken down into four lakes.

Meadow which you see as you drive in, this is Heart shaped and surrounded by reed beds, which have recently been cut back. Adding more scope for casting into previously untouched water, these areas are hold plenty of aquatic life. This is a lake for good visibilty to the lake bottom and is normally clear. It holds a good head of fish which tend to follow the wind.

Marsh is situated to the left of Meadow and when viewed from above and looks like a number "6". There is a small bridge in the centre, which gives access to the top of the "6" and holds a good head of fish with easy casting. There is a small strip of pines, which separates this from Meadow. This lake is normally coloured but, doesn't interfere too much with the fish. Rumoured to hold some good Browns.

Lakemoor This lake is behind Meadow and adjacent to the Tackle shop. Shaped like a wellington boot, with deeper areas at the top and bottom and shallower in the centre. A smaller lake than Meadow and Marsh but is normally clear and holds some monster fish. This was the lake where Land locked Salmon were first introduced into the fishery. Easy casting on one side and a high hedge row on the other, add attraction and challenging casting but not without reward. There are weedbeds here, which support aquatic life and are hot spots for fish too.

Lastly, Crannymoor This lake is square shaped with a long thin island in the centre. This lake backs onto Lakemoor via a small strip that you can cast from Lakemoor onto Crannymoor, providing there is no-one fishing. This holds some very good fish, particularly at the far side away from Lakemoor. There is a deep hole within this lake, that holds some good fish and a shallower area backing onto the Tackle shop, which often has fish topping or crashing the shallows feeding.

Ed stocks some good tackle and flies with the usual sundries too. There is a hut with free Tea & Coffee, plus Bacon or Sausage sandwiches are available on request.

Fishing Prices are:
2 Fish = £18 - 6 Hour Tickets
3 Fish = £22 - 8 Hour Tickets
4 Fish = £26 - All Day Tickets
5 Fish = £30 - All Day Tickets
