Gweryd Lakes provides excellent Carp fishing, specimen silver fish and general coarse fishing and trout fishing on a choice of three lakes set in a 150 acre estate in the Clwydian Mountains Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Llyn Gweryd
Llyn Gweryd’s 12½ acres (5 Ha) is a true mixed specimen lake. It provides Carp to 29lbs, Bream to 10½ lbs, Tench to 10lbs, Roach of 2lbs plus, Perch 5lb, Rudd 2lb and quantities of Skimmer Bream. This lake is easily accessible with three car parks, well spaced pegs and disabled access.

Llyn Ewan
Llyn Ewan’s 1¾ acres (0.75 Ha) is a well stocked mixed silver fish with some carp to 12lb lake providing excellent pleasure angling in a secluded setting. It has car parking and disabled access.

Llyn Louis
Llyn Louis is a ¾ acre (0.4 Ha) lake containing trout to 5lbs mainly stocked with 1lb fish and maybe bait fished on a catch a kill or fished with sporting fly.

Annie's Pool

I totally disagree with the adverse comments I have read about Gweryd. What total rubbish!! It is very well stocked with a great variety of fish including a large head of carp. I have fished the lake 4 times in the last 3 weeks and have caught over 30 carp up to 18lb. I also caught a 4lb 2oz perch. At this time of the year the fish are much more ready to take pre-drilled hard pellets such as Robin Red and betaine pellets in preference to boilies.
Give it a try and change your approach and you will be well rewarded.

I've been there 2 seasons now, NEVER GOING AGAIN... sick of the pegs that haven't been improved for years, sick of the lack of care from the owners, sick of getting hardly any Carp, speaking to someone recently thay said @apparently@ they had netted it and sold the big head of carp !, i'm thinking it's more than a rumour now.. Went last weekend and counted 19 Bivvy's and over 75 lines in, NO ONE was catching. Have tried all methods, all weathers and my best was 18lb, this was after lots of weekends of catching bream and small tench. It needs a few Pike in their and money spending on putting Carp in it...
