Offering fishing for novices right through to experienced anglers, Foxearth Fishery offers three lakes. The Specimen Carp Lake for the more experienced carp anglers who wish to catch specimen carp, The Traditional Coarse Lake for experienced coarse fisherman who look to catch quality tench, golden tench, bream, perch and many other species and The Pleasure Lake for those who prefer a more relaxed experience, where size does not always matter.Unhooking mats are required on all our lakes.
Many waters are run by clubs and syndicates, making them unavailable for the local population and visitors to the area to enjoy.
Foxearth pleasure and Traditional lakes are run on a day ticket basis giving everyone the opportunity to fish whilst maintaining very high standards in fish quality and landscaping. The experience therefore is complete, with enjoyment rather than profit as a primary aim.
The Carp Lake
With the reputation of being a challenging, this two and a half acre lake featuring three islands through the middle offers a challenge to all. The lake is divided into 8 zones so you book and fish your own zone of water when you fish with the peace of mind that no donut will be casting over your lines or into your zone..
The specimen lake is designed for the more experienced fisherman, who is equipped but more importantly, whose experience enables them to not only catch the larger fish, but handle them with care, protecting them and allowing their development to even greater weights.
Pleasure & Match Lake
Fully stocked with nice bream, rudd, roach, small carp, some nice sized perch, good sized tench and gudgeon. You may also be treated to golden tench.
Whether fishing for silverfish or looking to develop your techniques for larger catches, the pleasure lake will provide that ideal venue.
From young anglers learning the tricks of the trade, to the experience match fisherman, this lake provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy a day’s fishing in peace and quiet.
During 2008 we introduced a number of very nice 3 to 4 pound carp which at the end of the summer were being caught at 5lb 8oz, we also intoduced some 6 to 8 inch carp which are growing well and put up a good little fight. January 2009 and again in October 2009 we have also introduces some new fish.
The newest addition to Foxearth Fisheries fishing lakes. Dug in 2007 the Traditional lake provides the serious course angler with an opportunity to catch quality coarse fish including carp from 6 to 8 inches through to around 10lb, tench from 6 to 8 inches through to 9lb, good sized bream, roach, nice size perch and the other usual suspects. We have also intoduced some new fish in 2009.
The lake was originally being used as a stock pond to breed a small amount of tench for the specimen lake however due to the huge weights of the carp in the specimen lake and vast majority of anglers fishing the water being carp fisherman, it was decided that the sole purpose of that lake should be for carp fishing.
The decision was made to expand the stock pond into a coarse lake, net the larger coarse fish that were previously unappreciated in the carp lake and transfer them into the newly extended lake to provide a perfect fishing experience for the more serious coarse anglers.
