Some excellent orfe to 3lb 6oz, tench in abundance to 8lb 1oz, and golden tench to 3lb 7oz, roach, and perch to 3lb.3oz , Rudd, Ide, Skimmers and some good bream to 4lb 7oz, best baits are maggot, pellet, try worm and tip it with corn or caster, but start to feed now with pellet, maggot, chopped worm as they need feeding. After discussions with their design engineer Chris Weston, Aquaculture have developed the HEAT WAVE HA-1 to solve the problem. The new HEAT WAVE Aerator pre heater system uses a simple heater coil arrangement to gently warm air drawn into the standard Force 7 aerator unit and provides an effective method of ice clearance on any venue.
The better milder weather for the time of year has brought out anglers in better numbers and the fishing has been excellent again this week. All 3 lochans fished well this week for fly and bait anglers. Many anglers bagged their fish limits. There is a very good head of trout in all 3 lochans at the moment. Best flies this week: Black/Orange Cheeked Buzzer, Bloodworm, Black / White Fritz, and Holographic Diawl Bachs fished on a long leader. Best Baits: Ledgered Worm, Maggots and Size 1 Mepps Spinners.
