Written by Clint Walker. Posted in Angling News

Welcome to our latest newsletter.......As you may already know, Pallatrax have agreed to sponsor the prestigious Specimen Cup competition in ever popular Angler’s Mail magazine. This means that every week, every angler who submits a catch reports and picture to the magazine will be considered for a Pallatrax product bundle and cash prize of £50; every month will see one angler walk away with extra goodies and even more cash! The overall winner receives a huge Pallatrax prize and £3000!! It’s completely free and open to every angler, no matter where they fish! You can read more here; The winners so far have produced a string of superb specimens well worthy of our competition prizes! Keep an eye on Angler’s Mail magazine for more details.

The end of the river season saw our customers and our team anglers bag a number of superb fish for the camera. Newsletter regular Ryan Lippitt did it yet again when he slipped the net under a mighty 29lbs river carp, Luke Ayling snaffled a number of chub to over 7lbs and his fishing buddy Jez Brown chipped in with some stunning grayling. Also on the rivers, Team Pallatrax angler Richard Easom landed a cracking barbel of 12lbs+ when he fished his favoured River Trent near Nottingham.

Team Pallatrax has had new additions too this month; ‘Geordie’ Ray Pulford, Andy Edwards, Patrick Oliver, Paul Smythe and Ryan Lippitt all confirm their places within Pallatrax, and ‘Geordie’ Ray was quick to contribute with a stunning 33lbs 4oz carp taken on Pallatrax Jungle from a tough venue and was just reward for careful planning. Our customers are reporting great fishing too; a ‘tweet’ from Barry Hubbard confirmed his first use of Jungle had brought three fish on a water where a blank is not unusual!

New baits are currently under test and producing good results; a range of naturals to complement the existing baits have given excellent returns on both river and Stillwater. The new baits should be released in May 2012 exclusively in Angler’s Mail, but Pallatrax Media Editor Clint Walker reckons they will be winners; “I’ve used them on numerous occasions now, the permutations available to the angler are endless, but the constant thing I’ve found is that they catch fish!” A range of powdered additives will soon hit the shelves too which anglers will be able to utilise in a variety of different ways to create custom pastes, as a groundbait additive or as a coating for other baits....we are sure you will find other uses too!

Next month will see Pallatrax MD attend the Southlake AS event to be held on Friday 6th April in Reading. This will be a chance to hear Simon’s philosophies on just why he believes that natural baits are the way forward and it will give an opportunity to demonstrate some of our products and baits to the audience; Ian Macmillan will also be in attendance to give his views on modern carp angling.
